In such a stressful time as now, one of the pleasant moments is a relaxing bath. Thanks to it we can get rid of everyday small tensions, calm down and prepare for the next day. And to make this moment even more pleasant, use bath balls
Homemade bath balls are easy to make, great for personal use or as a gift. They are made from common and inexpensive ingredients. Some of these you probably already have at home.
Bombs have become a very popular addition to homemade baths, both for kids and adults. This simple recipe for making them yourself will allow you to enjoy them without spending a ton of money. As mentioned above, you can mostly find the ingredients to make them at home. If not, restock your cupboards because you’ll find these things useful for many other DIY recipes.
The key ingredient is citric acid. You can easily buy such in a really big package, 500-1000 grams, on the Internet, e.g. on Allegro. To make several bath balls we need:
Step I
Place all dry ingredients except citric acid in a bowl and stir.
Step II
Pour all liquid ingredients into a sealable container (e.g. jar, bottle). Close the lid and shake the container vigorously.
Step III
Pour the mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Using your hands, combine them all together. Add the citric acid. The acid may begin to effervesce.
Remember not to add water at any step of kneading the ball, even if the whole substance seems too dry. It is best if it has the consistency of wet sand. Then it can be easily improved or formed into the desired shape. If you put the mixture into the molds, you can use a spoon or a glass to better press the whole or take off the excess. Take the balls out of the molds right away, you can put them on a piece of baking paper to dry overnight. After this time your product is ready to be gift-wrapped or for your own use. Enjoy your bath!
