Autumn weather is unfortunately not conducive to romantic walks on the beach, picnics in the meadow or bonfires in the woods. Does this mean that you have to give up on romantic dates? Absolutely not! Autumn is an opportunity for many activities that are too hot in summer, for example. Check out our ideas for lovely autumn dates and celebrate love together with your other half!
In autumn, many localities hold autumn fairs or markets. This is an opportunity to enjoy many attractions, taste local foods, and in the process get to know each other better. Homemade baked goods, grilled sausages, pumpkin cream are just some of the delicacies you can enjoy at such events. In addition, many local exhibitors offer their handicrafts, which can be purchased at bargain prices. Such fairs are the perfect way to have a nice time and get into the autumn mood!
If classic castles don’t interest you, take a trip to castle ruins, full of empty corridors and creaking doors. Halloween is finally approaching, so you can indulge in a gentle thrill. If you are thirsty for thrills, you can visit an abandoned factory, for example. However, remember to be safe and check whether the building is in danger of collapsing before visiting.
If you both have a free day, you can plan a day trip to one of the Polish cities. In our country you will find many beautiful regions to which it is worthwhile to go if only for one day. Romantic Krakow, picturesque Wroclaw, developing Poznan, historic Cieszyn… There is a comfortable train connection to most of them. In addition to visiting local sights, you can go for a delicious dinner and try new flavors.
If you do not want to travel – after all, everywhere is good, but home is best – you can spend a nice evening in the comfort of your own home. For this occasion we suggest preparing an autumn and warming fondue. All you need is a special dish into which you pour melted cheese or chocolate, and a few bowls with additives. For the salty version, we suggest vegetables, crackers, nachos and kabanos, and for the sweet: fruits, marshmallows and cookies.
Autumn is the time of mushroom picking. So why not treat it as an opportunity for dating together. Walking in the forest, which has picturesque colors in autumn, can be really romantic, and the mushrooms you collect will be even more rewarding. If you don’t have the opportunity to go to the woods together, perhaps you can find an orchard in your neighborhood from which you can pick apples, pears or plums.
Whether you are an avid rider or this will be your first time, a horseback ride together can be an amazing adventure. The very contact with horses has a calming effect on a person, and riding can really bring a lot of joy.
Come on, watching the starry sky on a blanket spread out in a meadow in autumn may not be a good idea, but there is nothing to prevent us from going to a local observatory. At such places, we can admire the stars through a telescope, which will help us see them even better. Check if there is an astronomical observatory in your area that organizes star séances and take advantage of this unique opportunity!
