Cleaning products – homemade version. We suggest how to make natural detergents

It takes approx. 4 minutes to read this article

Natural self-made cleaners are becoming increasingly popular. They are safer for health and environmentally friendly. We check how to prepare them!

Nowadays, store shelves are overflowing with various detergents. Unfortunately, many of them contain strong chemicals, which can not only damage our health and make us more allergic, but they are also not environmentally friendly. No wonder then that there is a fashion for self-prepared detergents. Here are the best recipes

Lavender-scented dust remover

Making homemade dusting liquid is trivial and takes only a moment. It is a great – healthier and cheaper alternative to store bought sprays. To prepare the detergent we need:

  • 1 cup distilled water;
  • 1/4 cup of vinegar;
  • 15 drops of lavender oil;
  • 1 tablespoon of glycerine.

Pour all ingredients into a container and mix. Pour into a spray bottle. Thanks to the glycerine content, the wiped surface is shiny and dust-free for a long time. Always shake the bottle before using the detergent

Washing powder

Washing powders are often allergenic. Therefore, in many cases, such a homemade powder is the ideal solution. To make it, we need:

  • half a cup of soda ash;
  • about a glass of marseille soap (grated);
  • half a glass of borax – available at any pharmacy;
  • 5-10 drops of essential oil of the selected fragrance.

Pour all the ingredients into a jar. The whole shake vigorously for a few minutes until thoroughly combined. Add the essential oil as needed if you want your laundry to smell nice – the same way you decide on the amount, pour more if you like a stronger scent or less if you want a delicate fragrance. You can keep this powder in a closed jar for a month. For one wash, use 60-70 ml. When you wash bright, white clothes, before putting them into the washing machine, you should soak them in water with lemon juice (for 2 liters of water, add about 60 ml of juice)

Window and mirror cleaner

It is hard to imagine home cleaning without washing windows and mirrors. Also in this case, you can use a homemade cleaner. To make it, we need:

  • 1 glass of water;
  • 1 glass of spirit vinegar;
  • 7 tablespoons of salicylic spirit.

All the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and poured into a spray bottle. Then spray the glass or mirror, wipe it and you are done. Such agent can be used for 4-5 weeks

Milk for cleaning

One of the most frequently used detergents is milk for cleaning. We can also make them ourselves. For this you will need:

  • 100 g of baking soda;
  • 40-50 ml of liquid Marseille soap;
  • a few drops of essential oil of your choice, e.g. lemon;

All the ingredients mix thoroughly to combine. This detergent can be used to clean e.g. bathtub, washbasin, tiles, etc

Floor cleaner

You can also make a floor washing liquid yourself. All you need is:

  • a glass of spirit vinegar;
  • a bucket of warm water;
  • essential oil (if you want the liquid to have antibacterial properties, use tea tree oil)

Pour the vinegar and essential oil into the bucket and mix. Then we clean the floor the same way we would with a store-bought cleaner. We make the liquid every time we want to wash the floor

Dishwashing liquid

You can also successfully make your own dishwashing liquid. You will need the following ingredients for this:

  • 1.5 teaspoons of soda;
  • 1.5 tablespoons of aloe vera gel;
  • 1 tsp glycerine;
  • 150 ml of liquid Marseille soap;
  • a few drops of essential oil of your choice – for example, lemon;
  • a few drops of peppermint oil;
  • 2 cups of water.

Boil the water, when it cools a bit, add baking soda, marseille soap, aloe vera, essential oils and glycerin. Pour the whole into a bottle with a dispenser. Such homemade dishwashing liquid can be stored for a month
