Grapes have been widely used in cosmetics for years. They have a great influence on the look and condition of our skin and hair. How to make homemade cosmetics with this fruit?
Grapes are not only a tasty and healthy fruit, but they also have an excellent effect on our appearance. They contain a wealth of minerals such as potassium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, calcium, iodine and vitamins A, B and C. In addition, they contain flavonoids, tannins and fruit acids. There is a reason why they can be found in many good quality skin care products. We check out the best recipes for homemade cosmetics using grapes.
If our skin needs effective cleansing – a homemade grape scrub will work. To make it we need:
Crush grapes with a fork, add yogurt and oatmeal. The whole mix quite intensively. Apply the scrub to the face and massage it for a while with circular movements. At the end rinse with lukewarm water and apply moisturizing cream. This peeling perfectly cleanses and nourishes the skin. It is recommended to do it 1-2 times a week.
You can also make a scrub of crushed grapes (or oil from their seeds) mixed with brown sugar. Apply the mixture to the face and massage for a while. The proportions can be adjusted individually depending on whether you need a stronger exfoliation (then add more sugar) or a softer one.
Grape moisturizing mask is a good solution for dry skin. To make it, all you need is a bunch of grapes. Crush them (you can use a blender) and apply to a previously cleansed face. Leave it for about 20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. It is recommended to do this mask 2 times a week. Thanks to this the skin will be moisturized and healthier
If your skin is very dry and needs stronger hydration, a mask made of grapes and linseed can help. To make it you will need:
Pour warm water over the flaxseed and let it cool down. Add the blended grapes or crushed with a fork and blend into a smooth paste. Apply the mask and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water. The skin will be noticeably moisturized after the first treatment. The mask should be applied 2 times a week
When you notice that your skin has lost its firmness, has become flabby and tired – then it is worth using a nourishing and firming mask. To make it you will need:
Crush the grapes, add the other ingredients and mix. Apply the resulting slurry to the face and neckline. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. After several such treatments the skin will be noticeably firmer and nourished. Honey also has an antibacterial effect, so the mask will work well for acne-prone skin and other skin problems.
