Nowadays women make every effort to cheat time at least a little and look younger longer. It turns out that face yoga can help. What is it?

As the years go by more and more wrinkles appear on the face. The skin becomes flabby and less firm. This is a nightmare for many women, who try their best to maintain a youthful appearance for longer. Many use the services of aesthetic medicine, and as we know – they are not cheap, and in addition not always completely safe. However, it turns out that there is a natural way to take years off and stop time a bit. It is about face yoga, which is becoming more and more popular.

Face yoga – what is it?

Face yoga was probably invented by Annelise Heagen, an American. This woman, on the basis of her observations, became convinced that regularly performed exercises can take years away from us. Her idea has already gained a worldwide fan base, including celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow. However, other sources say that we owe face yoga to a Japanese woman, Fumiko Takatsu. We must admit that it is really effective!

Face yoga is actually a training of face muscles. Proper exercises make muscles and skin better oxygenated, which translates into their elasticity. There are several methods of doing face yoga, so everyone can adjust the exercises to their needs. However, all of the exercises are based on smiling, extending the tongue, curling the lips, pouting, drawing back the eyebrows or moving the cheeks from side to side

10 minutes a day to get amazing results

To achieve maximum results from face yoga, you should practice it at least 10 minutes a day. Regularity is the key in this case, if we practice once in a while – there is nothing to expect spectacular change

What effects does face yoga give? Its enthusiasts appreciate it mainly for the reduction and shallowing of already existing wrinkles. Cheekbones are more accentuated and nasolabial furrows smoothed. The oval of the face also improves, double chin disappears and the skin becomes firmer, smoother and noticeably younger. Some ladies also notice a change in their looks – eyes appear larger and eyelids are more lifted

It is important to remember that exercise affects not only the oval of the face and its appearance. They also affect our concentration, allow us to relax, calm down and add energy

Face yoga – for whom?

Who should practice face yoga? The answer is: everyone who wants to do it. The exercises are ideal for people of all ages. They take a while and are really simple. And for that you don’t need any major preparations or tools. However, it is worth remembering that you need to wait a bit for the effects. Usually the first results can be seen after a few weeks of regular training

Face yoga – examples of exercises

There are quite a few exercises, the most popular are for example the so called bumblebees, which is an imitation of chewing and exhaling air with simultaneous grunts. If you want to have fuller lips, it is worth doing “marylins” – these exercises consist in sending “cmokes”. If we want to get rid of vertical wrinkles around the mouth and provide a beautiful, natural smile, then the best will be “sphinx”. This training consists in lifting the corners of the lips without changing the look (it is supposed to be motionless)

In Poland, a few years ago these exercises were completely unknown – nowadays on the Internet or in social media there are many groups where women give each other support and advice on face yoga. You can also find many videos that show what face yoga is and how to do it properly.
