Strawberries for beauty. We suggest how to create great cosmetics on their basis

It takes approx. 5 minutes to read this article

Drugstore shelves are overflowing with newer, better, more modern creams, lotions and other cosmetics

It is not easy to decide which will allow us to achieve the desired effect, and to test all of them we may not have the time and money, and our body – desire. Find out how you can use strawberries for your skin instead.

A French rarity, where does the strawberry actually come from?

Do you know how it came to be that you can enjoy this sweet fruit and have it – as long as you plant it in your garden – literally at your fingertips? To find out, you have to travel back in your imagination to Versailles in the early 18th century. It was there that a French botanist crossed two strawberry varieties – Virginia creeper and Chilean creeper (which grows really big for a strawberry), and as a result of this “experiment” he got… strawberries. You must admit that this is a very satisfactory effect?

At first it was enjoyed by only a few – even wealthy people received only small portions. So let’s appreciate it when we manage to buy or collect a whole basket of them.

List of nutrients

Before you make your own cosmetics based on them, it is worth knowing what makes them so beneficial to us. This is because these inconspicuous fruits turn out to be a source of many vitamins and minerals. Below we present some of them:

  • vitamin A – increases the immunity of the body;
  • phosphorus – is responsible for tissue regeneration, reduces the feeling of tiredness;
  • vitamin B2 – protects the eyes against cataracts, allows the formation of cortisol, valued for its anti-inflammatory properties, ensures the proper functioning of the nervous system;
  • vitamin C – slows down the skin aging process, lowers blood pressure, regulates the production of collagen, has anti-cancer properties;
  • magnesium – has a positive effect on the functioning of gray cells, improves memory, thinking and concentration, prevents the development of osteoporosis.

Strawberry face mask

Despite so many advantages of strawberries, a mask based on them is not recommended for everyone. People with vascular skin or those who are allergic to salicylic acid contained by the fruit should unfortunately turn to another solution. However, if these contraindications do not concern you – feel free to try the following recipes.

For acne and oily skin:

Mash the cleaned fruits thoroughly with a fork, and then mix them with the previously beaten egg white. After applying the mask (paying special attention to oily areas), wait 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. The result: your complexion will have a refreshed, brightened appearance, and your pores will be narrowed and secrete less sebum.

For dry skin:

Blend an appropriate amount of washed and stalked strawberries, then add 2 tablespoons of cream, liquid honey or mashed bananas to the resulting mixture. Mix the whole thing with a spoon, and after obtaining a uniform consistency, apply it to your face for about 10 minutes, and then rinse off. Thanks to such a mask, your complexion will become properly moisturized and all traces caused by skin irritation will disappear.

For mature skin:

Using a blender, combine strawberries with a tablespoon of soybean oil. Apply the resulting mixture on your face and wait for 20 minutes. This will brighten your skin and make wrinkles less visible.

For tired skin:

Crush strawberries with a fork and then mix with freshly squeezed lemon juice. The mask will make your complexion brighter and properly nourished.

Hair Mask

For dry hair:

Puree the avocado, mashed potato the strawberries with a fork and mix the two ingredients together. Rub the resulting mixture into your hair thoroughly, concentrating especially on the ends. Wrap your hair in foil or a towel. After 30 minutes, rinse them with lukewarm water.

For Oily Hair:

If you have a problem with quickly oily hair, this mask will be perfect for you. Blend 30 grams of strawberries with a blender, apply the mixture to your hair and rinse it thoroughly after 30 minutes. What should you keep in mind? Unlike the previous suggestion, do not use a towel or foil to wrap your head with.

For dull hair:

To give your hair shine and proper nourishment, mix 30 grams of crushed strawberries with a glass of liquid honey, a tablespoon of almond oil and a pack of natural yogurt. This time, don’t just concentrate on the ends; spread the mixture evenly throughout the lengths, including the roots. After 20 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water.

For hair that quickly develops dandruff:

Add a dash of lemon juice to blended strawberries and rub the mixture into your scalp. As in the previous suggestions, wash off the mixture after 30 minutes.
